Accessibility

Everyone should be able to use this.

We design parks so children of all abilities can play together. The same standard applies to this website.

What we are working toward

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. That covers keyboard access, visible focus, readable contrast, descriptive image text, and respecting a reduced-motion setting on your device.

Where we know we have work left

This site is under active correction. Image descriptions, focus behavior in the menu, and motion handling are being reviewed page by page. If something blocks you before we get to it, tell us and we will send you the same information another way.

Getting the same content another way

Every worksheet and white paper on this site is available as a printable document, and we will read, email or mail any of it to you. Call 956-321-3151 or email partners@playrgv.us and say what you need.

Accessible parks, not just accessible pages

Accessible routes, transfer points, ramp access and surfacing that a wheelchair can cross are part of how we plan a site. Ask us for the accessibility verification worksheet and we will walk your site against it.

Report a barrier

Email partners@playrgv.us with the page and what happened, or call 956-321-3151, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm Central. We respond within one business day.
